Here is Kit at her arrival, before she's even unpacked!

8/18/2006  
                   17:50    Water broke
                   18:05    Walked to soup sampler with Grant & Kevin. 
                   18:45    Left soup sampler, left Grant with Grammy.
                   19:30    Leave for hospital after CD scrounge, emails, wine & board posts.
                  

  
20:00    Birthing Center arrival.  1st Nurse:  Tiffany (Didn't say "pancakes" for 1st pic)
                   20:40    Start walking regimen, as zoe is only 2.5 @ an iffy 70% & a (-2)
                   20:50    return for slippers
                   21:08    Early return from walk as was supposed to be 45 min
                   21:30    Yasdi had Tiffany report "Go home, I don't want to work tonight" with a straight face.  Also said BP for Kit of 170/180 too high, so ordered start of Pitocin IV.
                   22:25    Adjusted monitor for zoe so she didn't have to hold all the time (Tiffs job)
                 
   
 

22:42    Shift turnover:  Tiffany leaves, Julie arrives.  She suggested another walk before pitocin starts.

23:30           Return from 45 min walk.  Right to peeing :-)  Also she gave the toilet a shower….

                   0:05      Back to bed, start pitocin checklist (heartbeat issues delayed start)
                   0:55      Official start of pitocin (Julie)
                   4:00      3.5 @ 50-70% & still -2 (pain 7-8)
                   4:10      Recommend pain relief to zoe.  Not sure. 
                   5:15      Pain quite a bit.  4.5 @ 70% (sure 70% this time)  Start Epidural prep.  Contractions still 2 min apart "I didn't cry last time" (from pain)

5:40            Epidural doc arrives (Dr. Clark) @ least 4 tries to get in "keep hitting bone"
                   6:00      Finally in & water fully broke during. (Transition hitting & lots of shaking)
                   6:10      Epidural done (1st drug fast acting only)
                   6:20      to 6:30 Epidural pump problems

6:25            Shift turnover:  Julie leaves, Denise comes in.  Combined spinal Epidural - fast acting + "itchy" & also a local. 
                   6:30      8 / 8.5 pain much less (transition)
                   7:10      "Low battery" futzing - causes Epidural pump to reset.  Lucky Dr. Clark was in parking lot. 
                   7:53      10 & a +3.  Ready!  Time for the doc to earn the big bucks.

8:00            Miranda & Yasdi arrive. 
                   8:11      Episiotomy (offered twice by Yasdi & accepted on 2nd)
                   8:15      Birth.  Wide shoulders, wider than head. 

            8:19      Stich up.  (1 long stitch = 12 reg stitches)  8lb 11oz @ 20 3/4"
