"Who, me?"
All tuckered.

Happy Valentine's Day, Momma!

The kids, each helping around the house in their own, unique way...

See the video related to this picture.

"I'll clean anything if I can have some nakey time!"

"Help. They make me do this every day. Get me outta here!"

Re-doing the Sunroom

The lovely wallpaper we removed.

The border (which was apparently applied with SuperGlue),
and the charming ceiling treatment.

Naked plaster.

Carefully painting a shelf.

Finally stripped.

Old cat Saki, soaking up the warmth.

Such a good helper!

Another view.

Just about done

Don't know if you can tell, but I added a subtle faux-finish
on top of the Butter Yellow...

Grant really was a big help.   Walls are finished!

This plant shelf is moved eventually, so no heads are bumped.

  Beginning the load-in.

Nice to see a project come together.

It's DONE! Are you ready?
Come on in to our new Toy Room!

Still a place for Saki to lay in the sun.   "Where are the REAL tools?"

Now we just have to make sure the kids get no more toys... HA!

This side of the room is left mostly empty for room to play.   Each of the mats on the floor has a different texture,
and Kit loves the feel of them on her feet!

"Eh, fongool!"   This is the underside of the long shelf above the windows.
Some little imp got into the red paint!!
Fun with Kit

A few silly pictures of our growing Kit.

Some of her hijinks:

She loves to climb, and has recently discovered how much fun a sink can be!

This is a bowl of flour. Plain, wheat flour.

No sugar, no flavoring.

Point mouse to see Grant eat sand.

This from a girl who won't eat Cheerios.
You may remember a similar pic of her brother...
(point at pic to see Grant eat sand)

"I think I need a little more right...HERE."

"Thanks for the cute outfit, Aunt Caroline!"

"I'm just sitting here, I didn't do anything!"

My babies. Can't believe how lucky I am to have them.
A sweet moment... until Kev gives me the StinkEye!
March

A Day at the Circus:

Here is the center ring and the animal ring before showtime.

Shriners are everywhere!

Ready for a good time, Grant?

Our own Circus Boy, warming up before the show.

The big slide they had set up at intermission.

Grant with one of the performing families.
(They were excellent acrobats!)

Grant's favorite thing at the circus: Fire jumping tigers? Amazing jugglers? Incredible acrobats? Motorcycles zooming upside down in a ball cage? Pfft.

The BIG SLIDE, of course!

A little Dress-Up:

Grant has no awareness of Harry Potter, but I told him to go up and tell Daddy that's who he was. He went into the office and said, "Daddy, I'm Harry Pot!"

A new favorite Kit pic.

I just love this picture. Here is the sweeter side of Grant,
that I am lucky enough to see every day.

Both kids love laundry day, because they get to play in huge piles of clothes. They jump in piles, burrow under to hide, and sometimes just snuggle in for a "pretend nap".

Such a little sneaker!

Easter 2008

Having fun coloring eggs.

Easter's here! What a fun day. Eggs and baskets are hidden around downstairs, the kids (mostly Grant) filling baskets, opening eggs.
Then off to my Aunt's house as usual, for more family time and food!

The Easter Bunny gets up EARLY!

Sister and brother, ready for the hunt.

"A little car! COOL!"

"Another eraser. Cool."

"Ooh, there's one!"

"Pooh Bear, that is an egg. Egg."

Grant finds his basket, and the wooden train on top.

Kit is suitably impressed with the ducky cup.

Daddy reads to Grant from the "Dash" Incredibles book from old E.B.

"Huh. Yours looks more interesting than mine..."

"I love Pooh Bear!"

"Love, I tell you. LOVE."

Could I ask for anything more?
